Bill, along with the broadcasters from Auburn and Notre Dame were the featured "College Radio Legends" panelists at the 2014 Intercollegiate Athletics Forum at New York's Marriott Marquis Hotel on December 10, 2014.

Bill accepts the Virginia Sportscaster of The Year Award from NBC's Marv Albert in May of 2014 in ceremonies in Salisbury, North Carolina.  It marked the 11th time during his career that Bill has been honored as Virginia's top sportscaster.
